Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the experiences of health promotion behaviors of breast cancer survivors.
Methods: A descriptive phenomenological method was used in this study. The data were collected by individual in-depth interviews with ten participants, and analyzed using methods presented by Colaizzi.
Results: Five theme clusters were derived from the data as follows: stepping stone of health , investment for me , mind control for health , obstacle to health , and growth of the mind .
Conclusion: The results of this study can increase awareness of the health promotion behaviors of breast cancer survivors and contribute to the health promotion program development and improvement of nursing practice.
